Nord Confusion Cleared: 1+ Nord vs K20 Pro vs X3/X2 Pro

OnePlus Nord appeared this month. We are sure that Indian consumers are pretty concerned about the choices they make while purchasing a product. If that’s not true for each and every product, we are damn sure that it holds true for smartphones at least.

This week when Oneplus Nord hit the market with SD 765-5g chipset, oxygen OS, and One Plus 8 camera setups, things went fuzzy. Some prior leaks showed the phone may be priced at 20K INR around, but it seems with the starting asking price of 25k, the phone is not intended for everyone. Why? let’s see.

What we at TechNiche recommend to different Type of users:

Gaming (If your main focus is playing games):

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro and Realme X3 and Realme X2 pro.

In this category, Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro is the best performer, due to display, as well as the availability of 3.5mm headset jack. None other phones are close.

With 855+, an overclocked 865 chipset, Realme X3, and Realme X2 are fastest on the paper phones at the price range. It also sports 3.0 storage, which is fast. But lacks Headphone jack and AMOLED display as well. So, until and unless blogging is not your focus and ads and privacy is no issue, Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro is better.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro with 855 is a balanced phone. With 765G- 5g chipset Oneplus Nord is the least performing phone in this category.

Media Consumers:

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro is powered by SD 855 chipset which will ensure no lag. AMOLED and HDR support will give you better visual experiences.

Pop UP selfie camera ensures, a full view display providing no distraction/irritation caused by a notch.

Long-term Usage:

Obviously, Oneplus Nord.

Oneplus phones are made to run for long term. I have seen people still using One Plus 3 and 3T. Again, 5g support makes it future proof. But, Corona and anti-China sentiments, will delay 5g. May be till Late 2022. So 5G phone at present will not be that useful.

Camera (I am confused):

One plus picture is a benchmark in the industry. All phones perform equally. Performance per phone varies from situation to situation. Even in the same lightening condition, the same phone may perform better and worse. So, can’t be compared and assume there is a difference in very few differences.

The macro camera is not available on Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, which is again of no use on either of the phones.

One additional feature which Realme boasts is its Bokeh video (front as well as back). Bokeh video from Realme is videos like DSLR with a software optimized background blur. This works quite well and is an interesting feature. So if you want to blog, then it should be your choice.

Night photography is average in all if compared to the same cost DSLR due to sensor size and image processing.
